How does it work?

It replaces your 2kW/3kW heater on your hot tub. Simply put, an air source heat pump takes the outside air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a compressor. It then transfers that heat to your hot tub. More information on how it works is below:

• The fan on the air source heat pump draws air over tubes that have refrigerant in them, turning the refrigerant liquid into a gas.
• The refrigerant is then compressed using the electric pump, which significantly increases its temperature.
• It’s then passed into a heat exchanger which transfers that heat to your hot tub as the hot tub water passes very close to it.
• The refrigerant gas in the heat pump cools and turns back into a liquid when it passes through the pressure valve, starting the process again.
